Boca Grande - Saltwater Fishing Report

Tarpon action heats up.

Web5-25-06

Good tarpon action when the weather co-operates.

We have enjoyed some excellent tarpon fishing. We had a lot of west winds last week to make Gulf/beach fishing challenging but it was good when we got out. We had a great day on Tuesday in spit of the light west breeze. It was not white-capping so we could still spot rolling fish. The sky was totally overcast challenging to stop schools of fish but nice and cool for us. We found fish and got some bites but the fish were not at all aggressive. They nibbled and dropped the baits. We finally got two solid our ups and landed each of our guests a nice silver king. We got some nice photos please look an the photo web page at www.captvan.com to view some.

We also have some Catch &Release snook action plus reds, trout, and mackerel for fresh fish dinners. Let’s Go Fishin’ soon. Captain Van Hubbard
