Snook Season

Capt. Andy Boyette
February 26, 2008
Boca Grande - Saltwater Fishing Report

I mistakenly gave a report that gave the wrong information. Since most of my charters are catch and release, and I personally only kept two snook all of 2007 on my boat, charters included, it seems I have forgotten the change in the law.

Since the laws change consistently especially for the prized snook it is important to keep up to date. I sincerely apologize for the mistake and can assure everyone that no snook has been taken by me since April of 2007.

For the record Snook season opens on the east coast on Feb 1st and not until March 1st on the west coast . Thanks to the many people who called me on this mistake. The current laws can be found by going to the the FWC website a link is located here http://myfwc.com/marine/Docs/Jan2008FlRecreationalSaltwaterRegsChart.pdf
