Carrabelle - Saltwater Fishing Report

Watch Heidi Klum tonite. My most sincere apologies all around. My computer monitor crashed and it has taken me the better part of this millennium to persuade Mr. Dell that it will be in his best interests to do the right thing. He did and so all the aggravation and frustration is ancient history and now we can move on. What is the old saying about the quality of life being dictated by how one deals with inconvenience.
As I type this, the new NOAA weather station at C tower tells us that winds are West at 35 knots. The seas are 11 feet with virtually no interval. These past few weeks have signaled the arrival of old man winter. Back to back cold fronts have pushed temperatures into the low forties, with blowy north winds. It has been a time of Sambar deer and hogs, not groupers and snappers. A friend did land a seven pound red from my dock a few days ago. It was right at the top of the slot and went immediately to the barby.
Just chompin’ at the bit to get back on the water. The sheepshead have started to bite and the groupers are closer to shore now. When the wind stops blowin’ a gale, Topknots will be ready to catch ‘em up. This week she asked for a new wax job and some fresh bottom paint. Anything the old girl wants, she gets. Just like Heidi Klum, the German supermodel, looks will take you far in this crazy world.
Till next tide, tight lines and solid hookups,
Captain Alex Crawford
