Cedar Key - Saltwater Fishing Report

Cedar Key Fishing Report: November 20th-26th

Fishing in unfamiliar territory is always intimidating due to the lack of knowledge of the area. With a little help from local fisherman and bait shops we managed to put together a decent weekend.

Ran out in the Gulf between 14 and 22 miles at 40 foot of depth and looked for live bottom on our machine. The sea bass where literally everywhere. Every single drop we caught at least one. In the mix were short gag groupers, red groupers and mackerels. Groupers seemed to like cigar minnows and the bass loved the squid.

We don't fish the west coast too much but after this trip we may start fishing there more often.

Equipped with brand new triple Suzuki outboards her 900 HP gets us to our fishing grounds in a hurry. Twin Garmin 7612’s and a 10k radar puts us on the best fishing spots with ease. The ride quality
