Chokoloskee - Saltwater Fishing Report

Well the gators have now made it to the outside rivers with all the run offs this time of year. I won't be suprised to see them where I live soon.
I fished with Gil Drake this week and It was a success.
We were in the backcounty and found the small tarpon in the 20 to 30 pound range.
Also, we brought to the boat 3 snook in the slot range as well as probably a dozen snook in the 18"to 20" range.
It was hot, without any rain, and the humidity was up their making it a 100 deg. plus day.
We finally ended the day about 2 in the afternoon and that was fine with me.
All in all,It was a successful day of fishing except for the tarpon that jumped into the boat.
Nothing was dammaged and Gil just slid it back into the water.
