Chokoloskee - Saltwater Fishing Report

Considering we are in the beginning for the summer brown water conditions, fishing has been pretty good.
Myself, and Ned Small fished 1 day, Ned had a slam,I jumped a few tarpon and we boath caught a few snook.
On day 2 I was fishing with Bill Blanton and the fish were hard to come by but we managed to catch a few snook.
Yesterday I was fishing Randy Forrest and James Breeze.
It took some time but we finally made a big move to the gulfside and James landed a 43" snook,Randy caught a keeper snook and both caught Big Drums all on artificials, with James jumping a small tarpon.
It's a must to keep covering the water till it happens, and don't share your spots with others.
It took too much time to find your spots, and it might take it's tole on your friendships.
All in all fishing has been good, but with the change of season, you will need to make your changes now.
Tight lines,
Capt.Bert Barkus
