Fishing still great...waiting on the oil!!!

Destin - Saltwater Fishing Report

The fishing in the back bays and flats of Destin is incredible right now. We are getting into the redfish thick on every trip and they're biting so good for us we've been using artificial only for two weeks straight. It takes a little more getting use to and a little practice at the beginning of the trip to throw artificial baits, but once you get the hang of it is very rewarding to be reeling in a lure and have a redfish nearly knock the rod&reel out of your hands!!! We are also catching a few trout, not as many as the redfish but the ones we are catching are all over 3 pounds (23"-26").

Destin Fishing Forecast:

Pray (and take action) to help keep this oil out of our bays and contained only to the gulf, otherwise the only fishing we'll be doing is out of golf course ponds!!!
