Reds and Specks Still Biting For Us

Capt. Blake Nelson
September 5, 2009
Destin - Saltwater Fishing Report

The redfish and speckled trout have been cooperating with us for the past couple days. The trick is to get past all the bluefish that have flooded the bay for the past few weeks. The bite should remain strong on the flats throughout the fall...and some of the best site fishing for reds is fast approaching as well.

We got our limit of reds quickly and caught and released 7 more. We were one shy of our limit for trout but all but 2 were right around 20 inches. We also kept one of the blues just so they could get a taste of them.
