Estero Bay - Saltwater Fishing Report

Crazy weather patterns made for some shuffling of start times and a few cancellations, but if you got out in between all the crazy this week things worked out just fine. Between tornado warnings, high winds, cold fronts, and flooding tides fish were chewing! Redfish, trout and snook still gave anglers love in between the crazy weather that came through this week. It wasn't easy but anglers that understood pressure changes were able to get it done in a big way. Redfish, snook, trout, and sheepshead entertained the hard core anglers, and those lucky enough to get the right day on the water had great times. There were days that didn't work out, but each day this week was dramatically different. Anglers that gave it a go and waited on storms to go through did get some good fish when they stayed in the back country fishing inside the dirty water line. If you find water that's blown out from high winds, keep going till you find the somewhat clean water than start fishing. Sheepshead are definitely there as well as are the redfish and trout. Offshore and nearshore was a tough gig for most of the week, however the offshore guys did have a few good days catching mangrove snappers up to 4lbs and a few kingfish.
