Early Morning Snook & Evening Tarpon

Capt. Joe Angius
June 19, 2018
Estero Bay - Saltwater Fishing Report

Early in the morning anglers have a choice of fishing for large tarpon out in the Gulf or hunt for snook along the beach. This is the best time to fish the beaches because the sun wont cast your shadow on the schools of snook. Large live baits are key.

Evening fishing for smaller tarpon has been consistently good. Live baits or artificials will get them to bite and jump, but having them stay on is a little skill and a lot of luck. Be cautious of the afternoon storms and only go out if it is safe.

Call or text me to book your summer fishing adventure. Don't forget that I offer night fishing trips as well. Tight Lines!
