Estero Bay Report

Capt. Jon Fetter
August 6, 2015
Estero Bay - Saltwater Fishing Report

All the rain has cooled the water temps in the bay and the bite has been very good. The best action seems to be early in the mourning around the oyster bars and mangroves on higher water. Free lining pinfish, shrimp tipped jig heads, or even cut pins has been working for redfish around the oyster bars and mangroves. Anglers will also pick up snook with this live bait offering. There are plenty of mangrove snapper around the oyster bars and shrimp tipped jig heads will work best. Snook can be found around the floating docks and mangroves near the passes and free lining baits is the ticket. There are some very large females out there so beef up you tackle to have a chance.
