Estero Bay Report

Capt. Jon Fetter
April 20, 2017
Estero Bay - Saltwater Fishing Report

The fishing continues to be tough, but there are some options for anglers. The passes are holding seatrout, ladyfish, jacks, and spanish mackerel. Shrimp under popping corks or shrimp tipped jig heads will work fine. Drifting seems to produce the most action because anglers are covering more water. There are also some seatrout and ladyfish on the grass flats in 3-5 feet of water. Shrimp under popping corks is the best method. The redfish action has been really slow, but those who put in the time have been rewarded. Cut ladyfish is the best option although some have been caught on shrimp tipped jig heads.
