Estero Bay Report

Capt. Jon Fetter
October 16, 2017
Estero Bay - Saltwater Fishing Report

There are plenty of options for anglers in Estero Bay. There has been some bait off the beaches and pinfish are easy to get over the grass and the fish are chewing it all. Snook are around the floating docks and oyster bars and they are feeding on free lined pins and whitebaits on 2/0 circle hooks. The key seems to be swift moving water so pick your tides wisely. The redfish are starting to make their presence known around the oyster bars and mangrove islands. Free lining pins or under floats and shrimp tipped jig heads will work best. Higher water seems to be the ticket for them. The passes are holding plenty of ladyfish, spanish mackerel, and pompano. bottom bouncing shrimp tipped jig heads will work fine for all.
