Estero Bay Report

Capt. Jon Fetter
July 20, 2019
Estero Bay - Saltwater Fishing Report

Well the weather is heating up and so too is the fishing in and around Estero Bay. The backwaters are teaming with redfish and snook willing to take just about anything anglers might throw at them. Shrimp on jig heads, under floats, or free lined will work fine. Pinfish and whitebait will work also. There are also plenty of options for artificial's if that is what you are looking to do. Mangrove snapper are about as thick as they can be and shrimp tipped jig heads will work best. The passes are full of ladyfish and small sharks, shrimp under popping corks will work best for them. There are even a few pompano around willing to take these shrimp offerings as well.
