Estero thru Pine Island report

Capt. Greg Stamper
June 5, 2016
Estero Bay - Saltwater Fishing Report

Well fishing's been good the last two weeks. Snook have been top on my list as we've been doing alot of sight casting. Snook are all over from Pine Island, Matlacha, the beaches, and the rivers. Most of the big fish have been taking large baits like threadfins or cigar minnows, but a few nice fish were caught on both top water and swim baits. Tarpon are doing there thing with a few days of tarpon watching trumping the tarpon catching game. Redfishing was good mostly in the stronger tides and we saw a few nice schools working their way along bars and cuts in the upper slot range. The coastal waters along the beaches and passes continue to hold trout, mackerel, and ladyfish but not many pompano this last week they've seemed to have taken a vacation.
