Fun-Size Tarpon

Capt. Jesse Namour
June 17, 2019
Estero Bay - Saltwater Fishing Report

Its that time of year! Summertime silver! The bay is loaded up with small to medium size Tarpon. I refer to these tarpon as "Fun-Size".

The recent rain is going to help group these fish together. Juvenile tarpon love brackish water. As the bay transitions from primarily to salt to a mixture of salt and fresh... The numbers will only increase. The best tarpon days happen on a high falling outgoing tide.

My anglers have been been throwing a mixture of artificial and flies. Top water has been the go to recently. Early morning and late evenings are the ticket.

Call ahead to book the best Tarpon tides!
