Estero Bay - Saltwater Fishing Report

Redfish are still biting even on this weeks full moon tides. Redfishing was good this week with plenty of slot and below slot fish caught this week. Anglers that got out earlier in the morning had the best chance at it. The snook bite this week was good one day bad the next. The rains have clouded the water up in Estero bay and turned the Caloosahatchee river and adjacent areas waters visibility to almost nothing. When the water clarity became less than two feet we found the bite to be very tough so we moved on to cleaner areas. Trout fishing over grassy areas in 4-6 feet of water can still be very productive for those looking for numbers of fish verse size. When targeting trout popping corks with about two feet of 20lb leader and a 1/0 circle hook with a shrimp will keep anglers busy.
