It's been good

Capt. Greg Stamper
October 13, 2015
Estero Bay - Saltwater Fishing Report

As Red October continues, redfish are just about everywhere, as fishing continues to be great. Redfishing was amazing this week with 5 of the last 7 days being awesome and the other 2 days still good. Fish up to 35 inches could be caught as schools of fish could be seen pushing water on flats, and shorelines. Snook are definitely on the move and getting a good feed in before heading back toward there winter haunts. Most snook will make that move as we get our first true cold front push through, so with that said there spread out. Trout are moving in everywhere and in some areas they even hit bare hooks worked aggressively on a popping cork. Jacks, pompano, bluefish, and mackerel can be seen both along the beaches and inside Pineisland sound eating minnows so if you've got young kids keep your eyes open for that
