Time to come get some

Capt. Greg Stamper
April 5, 2018
Estero Bay - Saltwater Fishing Report

It's time to go fishing if you haven't already figured that out. Throughout the entire West coast, fish are starting to fatten themselves up. There has been a ton of bait-fish moving along the beaches, bridges, markers, and offshore to get things started. Tarpon of the large variety are offshore moving in as they begin the pre-spawn. Likewise in the bay were starting to see the little tarpon showing up as they chase the glass minnows around. Snook fishing is ramping up as more and more of the males are showing up along the beaches and the big girls on the wrecks. Trout are supper fat right now as they're full of roe and eating for more than one. Jacks are all over, I haven't caught many over 7 pounds the last two weeks, but have seen 20 pounders crushing schools of mullet. Pompano, bluefish, mackerel, and flounder are a few of the fast action fish available for kids or peeps that just want to have fun. Tight lines Capt Greg Stamper 239-313-1764
