Spring is here

Capt. Greg Stamper
March 25, 2016
Estero Bay - Saltwater Fishing Report

As the water begins a steady low 70's or greater temperature, life as a fisherman has gotten a whole lot easier! It's all here now from Snook to Tarpon, and weather is the only factor that can make you choose inshore verse offshore. Fishing the backcountry was tough at times weeks past but things are starting to chew now. Redfishing has just started to get good with multiple fish caught on many trips this week as well as snook, trout, pompano, and permit. Tarpon are moving in prespawn and seen in multiple areas as we ran around looking for tripletail and permit. Trout fishing in the back country usually in 3-5 feet of water has been much better with many fish taken up to 23 inches. Get out and fish people its going to be a good time.
