Spring fishing is almost here!

Capt. Greg Stamper
February 6, 2018
Estero Bay - Saltwater Fishing Report

Well overall the beginning of February is about what is to be expected. There's the typical quarry like sheepshead, trout, pompano, and black drum available, as well as others. Water temperatures finally getting back to the high 60's has helped out the last couple days, as the days when the water was in the low 60's made things tough. There's so many more options with temperatures rising for reds and even snook. Tripletail fishing continues to be good, but tons of people are out there doing it on the nice days so you'll have to be a bit lucky with where you go. The most fun we've been having over the last week has been with the big jacks, cruising the shorelines and oyster bars looking for bait. Paying attention can find anglers hooked into 15 plus pounders these days. Tight lines Capt Greg 239-313-1764
