I am over in Marco Island pre-fishing and trying to find bait for tomorrows Backwater Series tournament. While I was there I hit one of my favorite spots and had 10 Snook bites on my first 10 cast.

I am fishing with Mitch and substitute partner today Eddy Carmen from Biscayne Rods, we needed 2 Redfish and 2 Trout. We took off with the other 35 boats and ran 35 miles at 50 mph, with no bait so we fished lures. Eddy had a Redfish hit his top water plug and then Mitch caught a 15 lb Snook. The Snook bite was incredible today but we only managed 1 Redfish loosing a second one that would of put us in the top 2 or 3. On the ride back we stopped at a Trout spot and caught our two 2 plus pound Trout. I always tell people you cant afford to miss a fish and today it cost me money. Our weight was 8.45lb that 7 plus pound fish would of really helped.

I am fishing with John Prudholme and his son John today out of Flamingo. We had beautiful weather and no crowd (Fathers day), I headed out to the Gulf of Mexico. We fished the shore line and managed 25 Snook in a couple hours, this is great to see after having the big freeze this year. The Snook ate Gulp Shrimp and were all between 24 and 32 inches. The rest of the day we looked for Tarpon but there weren't really active. We ended up with some more nice Snook, a Redfish and a bunch of Trout.

I am with John and John again today and I have to get them their Tarpon. We started out close to the boat ramp and jumped 5 or 6 both with anglers getting releases. I moved on and found some Tarpon and they were knocking the top water plug silly. We were getting pounded by storms at this point and the fish continued to eat. We ended up with several more releases and got into a good Trout top water bite after 25 or so we called it a morning they had a long ride back to Pensacola.

I am with Adrian and tony Today and there was no one else at the ramp. Adrian came from England and only wants to catch a Tarpon. We started out throwing top waters and jumped a few before Adrian caught a 36 inch fish. We ran to the Gulf and were looking for some bigger fish. I lucked into some Thread fin Herrings and started to throw them out and that turned them on. We caught a 30 plus inch Redfish and a 40 lb Tarpon and had a bunch of other bite until the Sharks moved in . We hooked several Sharks and had fun with them. Between them the boat got a slam Tarpon, Trout and Redfish.

I am at Flamingo with Ross and Danny today, we started out catching some pinfish. I ran to the Gulf and started pitching pinfish at the shore lines. We had a couple big missed bites and then Danny caught a 28 inch Snook. The tide started moving and pushing water down the coast, every pinfish we had got hit. The biggest Snook was lost at the boat but it was close to 20 lbs. Ross was bummed about it, on his next cast caught another big Snook. This time we landed the 34 inch fish and he was pumped up again. The wind picked up @ 25 mph so we moved around a bit and ended up back on Snake Bite. I had both guys fishing Twicht n Raps with a couple live baits out the back. The rod doubled over and Ross grabbed it and the fish was pulling hard running up on the flat. At first I thought Tarpon because of the way in ran, but it was a monster Snook. We got some great photos and back to work. I had 1 mullet in the live well and it got it, and then we got to spectacular jumps letting us know what we had. This time Danny picked up the rod and for the next 45 minutes got pulled around by a 90 lb Tarpon. It was great for both guys, Ross has fought big Tarpon before but Danny did not realize the power of the mighty Tarpon. We got the fish boat side for some pictures and let it go. The boat got a slam of Tarpon, Snook and Trout.
