Flamingo - Saltwater Fishing Report

I was on the water 2 days this past week. I spent a day fishing Biscayne Bay with good friend Capt. Jim Hale. The weather was a little spotty during the morning as far as visibility goes, but it turned out to be a productive day on the water. Capt. Jim sighted a monster permit floating, casted a crab to him and it was off the races, with Jim landing this permit.

A couple days later, I had Kevin on the boat down in Flamingo. We started the morning casting shorelines at snook and rolling tarpon. Kevin landed 2 snook and hooked 3 tarpon that didn't stay buttoned. We then proceeded to flats. The first few hours were pretty fast and furious with Kevin landing 3 redfish up to 32 inches. After a few storms pasted, we continued our search for some tailing reds. The redfishing down here has been extremely hot this year. Everywhere we went we found tailing and mudding fish. It was a great day of fishing!
