Flamingo - Saltwater Fishing Report

122609

I am fishing with my son James and his buddy Jesus today back in Whitewater Bay. They really don't care about the species just want to bend the rods all day long. It was cool and breezy so we worked the points of the islands. The caught Snook,Trout,Jacks, Ladyfish,Snappers, Gag Grouper, Goliath Groupers and Mackerel. They slept from the minute they got into the truck until it was time to stop and eat, that's teenagers for you.

I am fishing with Jeff Armstrong, his nephew Conner, and Tom. We started out fairly close to Flamingo where we spotted some mullet getting busted up. We caught a couple Trout, Jacks and Ladyfish but I decided to head to the coast. I anchored up and started to bounce a jig and shrimp combo looking for Redfish. It didn't take long and Conner caught a Black Drum, then Tom landed a Redfish and we continued this for a couple hours. We moved around and ran on the outside Looking for Crocodiles sunning themselves on the beach. We moved into East Cape Canal and did some Shark fishing. We had a big Bull shark eat a live Ladyfish and put on a show, the Shark actually threw the bait. We ended up the day fishing for Trout and then headed in.
