Flamingo - Saltwater Fishing Report

Greetings friends,
Our summer Everglades season has begun with an epic Tarpon bite! Also in the fun are some upper slot Redfish...
I ran charters Sunday, Tuesday and Wednesday and all yielded epic results. On Tuesday I fished my new friends from Indonesia, and they brought boat side double digit Redfish, Speckeld trout and 3 Tarpon. We began the day with 10+ Redfish all caught on Gulp shrimp in a deep channel which had: Moving water, structure and clean green water on the flood tide. My three guests experienced rod bending action within the first 10 minutes at our first spot! All of the fish were caught on 40 lb leader and 30 lb Power Pro braid and all on IRT 300 reels. Next we moved for some speckled trout near a grass flat East the flamingo marked channel. While on the flat, we brought 20 or more Speckled trout to the boat and ALL on artificial baits- GULP shrimp, mostly on a white pattern bait. We closed the charter in EPIC fashion... Each angler had a legitimate shot at a Tarpon. TWO were brought to the boat and landed (photo attached). Also attached is one of the bigger Reds we've caught up front of Flamingo, this drum came in 26 3/4 in. and weighed 10 lbs.
Book with us today, get in the epic bite! 305-778-5342
