Flamingo - Saltwater Fishing Report

t has been a pretty windy week down in the Everglades. I have been fishing some lee shorelines from deep in the backcountry to out on the coast. Some days this week the big tarpon have been pretty thick and other days pretty scarce. The snook fishing will be getting better everyday and the key is to get on them early. I have been using an EP baitfish pattern fly lately, with lots of success on tarpon and snook. We had a couple of days this week where we jumped and landed lots of baby tarpon on fly and spin tackle. There have been some nice snook mixed in as well.

The redfish on flats has been pretty good as well, even on those windy days. Looks like we have some fore casted light winds this week, and if we can pull ourselves away from the tarpon fishing, we will take advantage of some great tailing redfish action!
The night scene is still a great option if you can't get out during the day. We have great tides this week and there are plenty of fish around!
Give me a call to get out on the water.
Tight Lines,
