Everglades Summer Fishing

Capt. Jerry Perez
July 20, 2020
Flamingo - Saltwater Fishing Report

Summertime fishing in Flamingo is my favorite time of year because we have such variety. The Redfish and Snook bite is on fire with multiple fish caught throughout the day. The fish have been cruising the flats and laying in the potholes around the Mullet schools casting soft plastics or top water plugs when the floating grass isn't bad has been the ticket. Black drum are starting to show up as well they can be seen tailing or mudding on the flats these fish need a close presentation and something they can see. This past week we even found some big Tarpon in Florida bay we had two or three mornings that were glass calm and they took advantage of all the Bait. The water in Flamingo has been pretty clean and we took advantage of some awesome sight fishing opportunities. The Fishing is great and only getting better as well roll in to August and September!
