Flamingo - Saltwater Fishing Report

Excellent flats fishing at flamingo on my new flats skiff!
Beautiful calm mornings this week have exposed some great Permit and red fishing.
Last week I finished the lower keys for permit with Tom West, slick conditions exposed platy of tailing permit. We only caught one at 20 pounds but there were plenty of big schools around the boat, the permit ate al live crab, the rest of the morning and were unsuccessful to hook a permit on fly to over estimated 300 permit we saw…. we finished until the storms drove us away.
This week Brian and Andrew Guardia fished with me for a half day and caught four nice redfish Close to 30 inches on the flats of Flamingo , we are casting gulp jerk baits to schools of large reds on the Hellsbay Marquesa.
Drew and Bianca Rosen fished on A stormy day hooked four snook over 33 inches and caught five over 27 inches on top water skitter walk lures early morning, then caught 3 Reds the largest was 32 inches, there were plenty of larger schools around.
Richard Lovett caught 6 Reds in very skinny water on my new flats skiff that draws about 3 inches of water. We had over 50 shots at redfish and a two hour window until a large thunderstorm chase us away.
Alex Gounaris, Pino Viterale with sisters Andre and Angie Eracleous fish Flamingo and caught over 50 trout and several nice Mangroves early in the morning , when the bite stopped we had Plenty of photo stots at Porpoise in the hot afternoon!!!
I hope all enjoyed and thanks for a beautiful week!
I expect the fishing to remain very good to excellent!
