Flamingo Fishing Report

Capt. Steven Tejera
May 24, 2012
Flamingo - Saltwater Fishing Report

Talk about some good fishing despite the weather conditions the last couple weeks. Most days have been overcast but we have been extremely lucky and most days the storms have stayed well clear from us. We jumped some nice tarpon on fly, got a bunch of nice reds and snook as well. The water level is higher right now because of the rain. Therefore, we have been fishing areas that are usually to shallow to get to. The tarpon fishing was good as well. Whenever the wind laid down we got into some nice rolling and laid tarpon up which gave us some excellent opportunities to throw the fly at them with success. Flamingo has an excellent fishery year round and this time of year has some of the best sight fishing around. Give me a call or shoot me an email to book your trip.
