Flamingo Fishing Report

Capt. Jason Sullivan
May 29, 2015
Flamingo - Saltwater Fishing Report

The next few months the fishing in the Everglades will be as good as it gets. It still has been windy here, but the fish sure don't mind. We will get a good push of tarpon heading north over the next few weeks. Typically there is a good amount of tarpon in the Everglades in June, with both migratory and residential fish. The snook fishing and redfishing has been really good lately on the flats. When the wind lies down, some more areas will open up for us and will be a lot easier to fish. I can't wait for those slicked out summer days, when all you can see are tailing redfish popping up!

On the freshwater side, the Bass fishing continues to be really good. We caught over 75 fish on fly on a half day trip on Tuesday. It has been so dry here, the water levels remain low and fishing has been great.

Give me a call to get out on the water.
