Flamingo - Saltwater Fishing Report

Hope everyone has had a good summer. Even though we have had some water quality issues, the fishing still remains good in the Everglades. There has been a lot of big snook around and an incredible resurgence of tarpon in the 30lb class. I have seen schools of 20-30lb tarpon in areas that I haven't seen them in since the freeze of 2010-11. That is a very welcoming sight! The baby tarpon fishing out front on the flats has been in full swing and really fun fishing on light tackle and fly. Almost always get a bite from those fish if they see your fly.

The snook fishing on the coast and up on the flats has also been really good. Some great sightfishing opportunities this time of year with the light winds. We have some great tides coming up this week and into the following week.

Give me a call or email to experience some great fishing!
All the best,
Capt. Jason Sullivan
