Flamingo - Saltwater Fishing Report

It has been another great week on the water. June has always been one of my favorite months to fish the Everglades because the options are endless. Local anglers, Rich and his son Eric joined me for a few days casting plugs to some giant snook. Both days they landed multiple fish up to 32 inches. All taken on a Rapala Skitterwalk. Some of the strikes were absolutely violent.

Dan from Charleston, South Carolina joined me for a day looking for some big tarpon. The tarpon were thin that day, but he did hook into one pushing 80 lbs. After that, we switched gears and went looking for snook. Having never caught a snook, Dan landed his first ever snook on a topwater plug that taped out at 30 inches. A pretty good first! He went on to land 8 more and we called it a day.
