Flamingo Summer Fishing Report

Capt. Steven Tejera
July 14, 2011
Flamingo - Saltwater Fishing Report

The heat is on and the fishing is on fire! Flamingo fishing has been excellent with mutliple species on the list and many backcountry slams. Tarpon, Redfish, Snook and trout have all been active in florida bay. We have been mainly sightfishng with artificials or fly. Finding bait and moving water has been the key to finding concentrations of snook and redfish in the shallows. The fish have been aggressive in the a.m hours crushing every baitfish imitation weve thrown at them. Getting out early this time of year is also important as it gives you an hour or so of cooler temps both in the air and in the water.
