Florida Bay in Fall!

Capt. Joe Costadura
October 7, 2009
Flamingo - Saltwater Fishing Report

Had a chance to get out in Florida Bay with my pal Capt. Nick Angelo originally from South Fla whp now lives and guides in the Tampa area! We had a great time fishing the old stomping grounds. It was our first trip out in Flamingo together in a few years. Although the water was pretty high, crazy high actually we did manage to find fish! There were plenty of reds to be found on the bights east of Flamingo and with a well presented fly it was game on! Snook were also slammin baits over the pot holes along with plenty of black drum milling around. We ran south to look for some bonefish close to Islamorada, all we found that day was plenty of water, not an ideal trait for sight fishing! But at least we got to hit up some old haunts that Nick hadnt been to in quite a while, and catching a few Flamingo Reds on the fly was enough to bring back good memories and welcome back an old friend! Catch em up.............Capt. Joe
