Flamingo - Saltwater Fishing Report

June 11, 2020

The fishing has been from ok to really good on this last full moon. I have fished the back county as well as the Gulf of Mexico and Fl. Bay. The numbers were down but the quality was good. Hitting the incoming tide this week at the right time paid off on everyday I fished.
The Redfish cooperated 3 of 5 days and Snook on the others. The water is 90 degrees and the Sharks are hungry ,we didn't loose to many fish to Sharks.

I found Tarpon a couple of the days and they were eating Mullet fingerlings and the were not interested in our lures. we would throw baits out in front of rolling Tarpon only to have the Sharks eat them first.

This week was really about getting people out after quarantine 4 of 5 trips were people who have been locked in for months and just needed to get out. It was more about bending rods then giants. This does make the job somewhat easier when people are just enjoying the day outside. Good fish with good people makes it lots of fun, thanks to all that fish with me.

Ronald Lewis needed to get himself and kids out, They "whacked em" today

Mike need a day out, we did a late afternoon trip to Flamingo. No one around!

I have some days available bring the family if they need a day out of the house, There is plenty of fresh air in the Everglades, it good for the soul.
