Great Tarpon Fishing!

Flamingo - Saltwater Fishing Report

I have to say that this March has really been an epic month of fishing. When the conditions allowed, tarpon has been on our minds. On most days, the conditions were ideal for tarpon. We have hooked, jumped, and caught alot of big fish this month. I am definitely looking forward to April, because traditionally the tarpon fishing gets better, with the push of our migratory fish.

When the winds have picked up, I have spend some time deep in the backcountry. With it being such a dry season so far, the fishing back there has been really good. This week we caught snook, redfish, and largemouth bass all in the same area. At times, we have also jumped some baby tarpon up there. It is such a awesome ride through the backcountry!

When the winds are down, the flats outfront of Flamingo have been a good choice. As we move into our Spring, that fishing will get better on the flats, with it peaking in the summer time.
Fishing has been great, so give me a call to get out on the water!
Tight lines,
