Flamingo - Saltwater Fishing Report

Flamingo, Whitewater Bay, and Bass fishing Reports
We are back in full force with holiday spirits and all! Fishing has been really good in Whitewater Bays and the deep creeks. Pro-trim’s Cage is the latest addition to the skiff and I had the pleasure of having Joe DiGraziano test it out and get a feel for it. This day in inside waters we caught three snook one of which measured 34” . They all took artificial jigs as did the trout.
Fernando Leyva and son joined me one the coldest day to surprise me with a 29” snook. Several black drum were taken as well as a goliath in the ten pound class. Add 50 jacks to 5 pounds and we had an action packed day. The next morning I was joined by another father and son team Ray and ray, jr. they caught drum, black and red, and over forty jacks.
Expect a strong sheepshead and drum bite these chilly days. When it warms up don’t forget to check the flats because they will hold the redfish and snook. Bass fishing has also picked up rather nicely.
Happy holidays to all and a sincere thanks for those of you that hire guides. I just wanted to comment that I have had a great year and now consider some of the folks that fish with me regularly my closest friends.
