Flamingo - Saltwater Fishing Report

Greetings!
Our summer season kicked off to a great start! On a hunch I made a 20 mile run North in search of a solid drum bite, and it sure did pay off! Mark and Kyle got on drum almost immediately! In fact, we filled our quota of keeper fish by 10 AM. Knowing that the wind was blowing 30 knots, I weaved and hid as much as I could and switched our attention to Tarpon. We found some in the 10- 40 lb class and threw flies, swim baits and Rapala twitch plugs...but the Poons were not feeding on what we threw on this day!
We closed the day looking for some triple tail and found some amidst the 3 foot chop, we hung in there, roughed the conditions and managed to boat 10 or more TT's in quite the compromising situation!
After quite the action packed day, we made our run back to the Flamingo Everglades to clean and bag the days catch!
Look out for us, exciting things are happening in the way of sponsors!
See you on the water!
