Flamingo - Saltwater Fishing Report
Hello Cyber Angler community,
Capt. here- been off the virtual world lately but back and happy to share my latest charter details! I had the pleasure of fishing with Kevin and his two super cool sons from Austin Texas and we had a blast! Began the day seeking out Speckled Trout on the flats, and although the bite was slow they showed in ok numbers. Happy to share that ALL fish were landed on artificial soft plastic GULP baits, 20 lb leader and 12 lb POWERPRO… We switched gears and looked for Snook on a falling tide off the creeks near East cape and although they looked "fishy" the line side bunch didn't cooperate.. Kevin expressed his interest in seeking a Silver King, and so we did! Folks…they were ,and have been out in numbers! We made cast, after cast, after cast but it seemed as if they weren't feeding on this day! However, I know Kevin + Sons had a blast! Happy to report that my batch of IRT reels are simply bad ass!
