Bass Fishing and inshore tarpon fishing South Florida

This past week has been very productive in the Everglades bass fishing and on the flats out front of Flamingo in Everglades National Park here in Extreme South Florida. Very calm mornings have brought A lot of 30 to 70 pound tarpon out to swim and just sit under the surface, these are perfect condition to get a 60 pound tarpon to eat A fly.
Friday we jumped 3 but unable to get one to the boat. We also caught seven redfish and a nice double header on Berkley Gulp jerk baits , we also caught 40 trout to 18 inches fishing with Mike and Sarah Zackowski from Philadelphia.
Other catches this week in the Everglades were eight large mouth bass over 4 pounds 1 chain pickerel 2 mudd fish one up to 7 pounds fishing fresh water using top water poper flies.
Some of the canals are holding A an unbelievable amount of small, 1 to 3 pound largemouth bass we are catching up to 200 fish per day.
Out front at flamingo there are a lot of redfish tailing up on the flats in very skinny water. Also on the coast there are plenty of snook where you can find structure.
We fished key Largo this week the flats we're clear and holding an good amount of snook and redfish, the fish we are finding are a little bit deeper but plenty cruising to shorelines and just out in murky water. We caught two nice snook and three nice reds in the Key Largo backcountry.
Normal game plan is to be on the water at sunrise and off by 12 o'clock noon.
Good luck and keep the sun at your back.
