TripleTail Time

Capt. Armando Alejo
July 22, 2019
Flamingo - Saltwater Fishing Report

Greetings A2 Fans,

Over the past few weeks we've had a consistent Tripletail and Tarpon bite. In fact, we are seeing the highest concentration of Tripletail and Tarpon that we've seen in the past 10 years.
On a recent trip, we caught and released several Tripletail and Tarpon in the 20-50 lb class. We are casting to Tripletail using an IRT 200 prototype, paired with a Cajun Savannah series, Heavy action rod.
Although we've recently targeted Tarpon with a swimming DOA mullet, we feel that they're taking a fly first! When slinging flies, Tarpon are preferring a streamer pattern, with the lightest floru leader possible (usually 15 lbs.).
Don't be surprised to find Redfish at different parts of the tide- rising, dropping, flood and ebb tide, all in all there are plenty of Redfish around, if that's a fish you target.

The summer action is HOT right now in the Flamingo Everglades, join us for your next charter, the Glades Summer action will not let you down!

Capt A2.
