Flamingo - Saltwater Fishing Report

This won't be much of a report since I'm pressed for time... been on the water five out of the last seven days mostly out of Flamingo, but with one day out of Everglades City. Weather conditions have been hot, rainy, and lots of bugs - but from time to time we've found a few fish. I'll have to let the photos do the talking....
I was lucky enough to fish with local angler Marcos Beaton and his family last weekend on their Pathfinder. His eight year old daughter got a slam (snook, trout, redfish) while her younger brother held up his end as well....

Both the snook and the big red were released... that nice spotty red, a 26" fish, got invited home for supper....
Here's Tony Muina, another local angler with a very nice big snook a few days later....

Almost forgot to mention... young Jack Creel, fishing with his brother and Dad, hooked and brought to boat a sawfish that was nearly 11 feet long the day before yesterday. We were in a bunch of sharks at the time (bulls , lemons, blacktips) and he actually was using a spinning rod with only 12lb line.... An outstanding catch - but I was too busy to take a single photo. A big saw is just plain dangerous next to the boat and we never knew what he had until it came up right next to the boat at the end of the struggle... and was very carefully released.....
I'll be off the water for the next week but should be back after the fish after that. Most that I know are fishing very early or very late each day. Night fishing continues to be very attractive.....
