Flamingo - Saltwater Fishing Report

062509
I am at Flamingo with my son and his friends Albert and Jimmy today, we got out early to jump on a school of Reds I have been on. The bite was quick, they caught 6 or 7 Reds and a big Snook. A full blown storm moved in and the wind kicked up to 30 mph, we moved to a protected shore line. We worked hard and hooked several Tarpon but the bite was slow. I decide to try one other spot where we jumped a Tarpon and caught another Snook, between the winds and the slow bite we called it a day.

I am with Robert, Joe and Lenny today at Flamingo and as soon as we got outside the marina we got we. I never saw it coming but made I it to the first spot and waited for it to stop. The same school of Redfish I had been on all week was waking up as we approached the area. Robert and Joe both hooked up and their drags were screaming and they both looked up at me with this stunned look, both fish were gone! We worked around and it was slow but we caught a lot of Jacks, everything else was slow. I went to a rock pile and we caught a bunch of Snappers and a few Red Groupers before ending the day.
