Alexander saves the day with an 88 inch sailfish off the coast of Fort Lauderdale
January 29th, 2013
Today we fished with Alexander and I am sorry to say that we never did get the names of the other anglers aboard today but what I can tell you is that finally fishing is getting better and better everyday with the cold fronts starting to move through and with the full moon gone.
We went right to kite fishing today and Alexander landing this 88-inch sailfish along with a Mahia Mahia, a couple bonitos and a big blue runner.
Guy's thanks again for fishing with us aboard the Hooked Up off the coast of Fort Lauderdale.

Slow day on the rip but we still managed to catch a smoker king and a Amber Jack off Fort Lauderdale
January 28th, 2013
Fishing with Jim and Ed from New York and Meagan, Marisa and Matt from Holly Wood Florida.
Once again fishing was on the slow side today with the lack of winter cold fronts and now with a full moon to boot fishing has just been tough the last few days.
All the same we kite fished, trolled and tried some deep drops on the wrecks and finally managed to catch a Amber Jack and a nice smoker kingfish.
Guy's thanks again for fishing with us and sorry fishing was on the slow side.

January 27th, 2013
Today we fished with Pat, Kevin, Joe, Casey and Sam all from South Florida.
We started out trolling and catching some bonitos. Than we brought in the trolling gear and set out our kites with 4 live baits suspended from them and landed a couple of kingfish and one Mahia Mahia.
Guys thanks again for fishing with us this morning and we are looking forward to fishing with you again and next time we'll do a little more catching!

Tough morning of fishing off the coast of Fort Lauderdale
January 26th, 2013
Today we fished with Neal from Delaware and Jeff from Tampa Florida.
Truth being told here today fishing was just plain old slow off the coast of Fort Lauderdale.
We did try Trolling, Kite fishing and even deep drops on some shipwrecks but all we managed to catch was a Spanish mackerel and one big barracuda.
Guys once again sorry for the slow fishing today and like I told you guys we WILL MAKE IT UP TO YOU on our next trip.
To all of my readers out there I do pride myself on being truthful and honest with my fishing reports and yes this is fishing not catching. This is our back yard we fish in and we fish just about everyday in our back yard but all the same some times fishing can be tough. The ironic part is that when fishing is good we really don't have to work as hard and we put plenty of fish in the box and on the flip side when fishing is slow we work twice as hard and don't put as many fish in the box.

Fishing Ft Lauderdale and catching Mahia Mahia, Wahoo Barracuda and bonitos.
January 22nd, 2013
Today we fished with Alcide from Quebec Canada.
We started out trolling and catching small bonitos one after another.
After we had a well full of these live bonitos we set out our kites with 4 live baits suspended from them. Kite fishing was slow today however we did manage to catch a couple of Mahia Mahia.
After kite fishing for well over an hour we decided to switch up and slow troll these live bonitos we had caught earlier.
Slow trolling turned out to be the right move for us we landed a Wahoo and this monster barracuda.
Alcide (I think I am spelling your name correct) thanks again for spending the morning fishing with us aboard the Hooked Up off the coast of Fort Lauderdale.

Fishing with the LUCKY FAMILY from Michigan off Fort Lauderdale
January 20th, 2013
WOW what a fun day on the water off the coast of Fort Lauderdale aboard the Hooked Up.
Today we took Dave, Mary, Sara and Nick out fishing or should I say catching.
Talk about our lucky day.
We started out Kite fishing and before you knew what was going on Sara was fighting a big Sailfish and I do mean a big one because after a good 20 min fight she had her 89-inch sailfish to the boat!
BUT WAIT there's more Nick did battle with a 53 that's right 53 inch SMOKER KING!!
And just to end things on the right note we made sure everyone had plenty for dinner and the tilefish were biting and they were all nice 4 to 5 pounders!
I must say that the gang from Michigan got their moneys worth today off the coast of Fort Lauderdale.
Guys thanks sooo much it really was a ball catching all these fish and we hope to see you again soon.
