Fort Lauderdale - Saltwater Fishing Report

Daytime Swordfishing + Nighttime Swordfishing

Captain Paul Paolucci and mate Mike Maldoon headed out Saturday in the afternoon looking to do some daytime swordfishing. Captain Paul said they were fishing in about 1600 feet when they got the first bite and within 20 minutes the fish fell off. They set up at the same numbers and 10 minutes later they got another bite. The battle went on for close to an hour. It was jumping behind the boat and sure gave everyone a good show.

As the night settled they put the spread out, and waited and waited for almost 4 hours. They never got a bite so they made it a day. The fish weighed in at 200 lbs.

Tight Lines!
