Luis Spencer and Sherwin Ramos chartered the Top Shot Sportfishing charter boat team to do some deep sea charter boat sport fishing in Fort Lauderdale, FL.

Fifteen to twenty minutes after leaving the dock, lines were in 120 ft. of water at the sea buoy in Fort Lauderdale, 1.8 miles from shore. We started the trip trolling with 4 surface lines and two deep planner lines. The fish have been swimming anywhere from 100 out to 300 feet of water. We started along the reef in 110 feet of water, and the anglers caught 3 Bonitos within the first15 minutes of the trip. The Bonitos all fed on the sea witch with strip baits. Next, we headed to a wreck and the anglers caught another few Bonitos.

The next fish we hooked was a Sailfish, and Luis was the angler. He had a good battle with the Sailfish, as the fish pulled a lot of drag and jumped many times. After a solid battle, Luis got the Sailfish along the side the boat. Joe, our mate, got the hook out, a quick photo was taken, and the Sailfish was released back into the ocean. We continued to troll the same area where I could see a lot of baitfish. While circling the baitfish, we hooked and caught a nice Black Fin Tuna, which was put in the fish box on ice. I continued working the area of baitfish and had another Sailfish up in the spread with his bill out of the water chasing the Ballyhoo. Sherwin was the angler this time, and he started reeling in the Sailfish. Another good battle started, and he cranked on the Sailfish with gains and losses. A few more jumps, and he finally got the Sailfish to the boat. We removed the hooks and safely released the Sailfish back into the water. We went back to trolling, and we got another Bonito and Black Fin Tuna.

It was now time to head back to the dock. The anglers retired into the a/c salon and enjoyed the relaxing trip back to the dock at Bahia Bar Yachting Center, 801 Seabreeze Blvd. Fort Lauderdale 33316.
