Deep Sea Fishing In Fort Lauderdale

Capt. Vinnie Sacks
April 27, 2021
Fort Lauderdale - Saltwater Fishing Report

Hello everyone, Capt Vinnie here. This weeks report is pretty good so lets get to it, This week we have had some interesting weather some daily very windy some days mo wind at all. Our daytime half trips have been producing some decent catches, there has been plenty of king mackeral and bonito to catch on the reef, but also there has been a decent sailfish bite in the afternoons we have been getting a few shots per trip while trolling but kite fishing with live bait has been the best bet to really target the sailfish. There has been a few wahoo to catch as well on the deeper side of the reef as well as a few tuna, but most days there has been plenty of seaweed so trying to fish for one of the deep water species has been kind of tricky. This week mahi mahi has been very hit and miss it is still somewhat early for them but they should begin to come around in the next month or so, something to definitely look forward to. This week as well we have had a very strong current which can make bottom fishing tricky we did manage to catch a few nice sized mutton snappers this week when the current was light. A lot of different species of game fish biting this week, some days have been better then others but thats fishing for you, grouper season does open up this week coming up so hopefully we can catch a few of those tasty fish. This week we have a lot of great photos of some recent catches so please be sure to check those out, we have some availability coming up so if your in the Fort Lauderdale area and looking to go deep sea fishing check us out we would love to have you, as always like us on facebook and instagram for daily fishing videos and reports @Ybnormalsportfishing. I should have a nice report for you coming up after this week so check back soon. tight lines
