Summer time is drawing closer. Temperatures are in the mid to high 80's. Winds are out of the east, southeast, 10-15 mph here in Ft. Lauderdale South Florida. This is our big Shark season. Sharks are ranging from 100-400 lbs – Hammerheads, Bulls, Tigers, Makos.

We started off this morning with Phil Hiller and family, three of which were vacationing from college. The boys were interested in catching Sharks, so we ventured out to 350' of water, off of Ft. Lauderdale, South Florida to do some Shark fishing, with one bait on the surface, one midrange and one on the bottom, and a kite out with a live bait. As we sat there talking about the power of these wonderful creatures, a dorsal fin circled one of the live baits from the kite. It was a golden Hammerhead – no there were two golden Hammerheads circling the same bait. Mitch our mate fed the live bait to the Hammerhead Shark, the reel made that beautiful sound which meant the fish was hooked up. All three of the guys took turn fighting the Hammerhead Shark – Mark, the last angler, brought the fish to the side of the boat for his picture taking and releasing. With all three college fellows tired out, Phil laughed by the fact that it took three of them to bring in the Shark.

Afterwards we went back to trolling and Phil caught some Black Fin Tunas and Bonitas.

It was time to start heading back from our deep sea salt water fishing charter to the dock at Bahia Mar, Fort Lauderdale South Florida. This ends another successful and adventurous deep sea fishing excursion on the Happy Day Today with Captain Zsak.
