Andy and Carla Tretiak along with their sons, Kenny and Ross, from Kansas chartered the Topshotfishing team to do some deep sea big game sport fishing in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. As the Tretiak's boarded the boat with their two young sons, they were welcomed on board by the Topshotfishing team.

Fifteen minutes after leaving the dock, lines were in 120 ft. of water by the sea buoy in Fort Lauderdale, 1.8 miles from shore. We started out trolling looking for the big one – we put out two #8 plainers both with sea witches and double hooked Bonito strips. For surface baits, we went with two Ballyhoos and two Bonito strips.

Our first strike was a Kingfish on the plainer rod that Kenny reeled in and was very proud of his catch. Our next bite was on the center rigger – a swing and a miss. He is back on the bait!!! Sailfish!!!! Another swing and a miss!!! This Sailfish was determined to get hooked – on the 3rd time he was successful – hooked up – Sailfish on!!! Andy was the angler as the Sailfish came out of the water tail-walking towards the boat. After a twenty-five minute fight, Andy brought the Sailfish to the side of the boat where our mate, Dave, wired the Sailfish for picture taking, was tagged and released to fight again. We reset and the boys took turns bringing in five more Kingfish.

It was time to head back to the dock. The anglers retired into the a/c salon and enjoyed the relaxing trip back to the dock at Bahia Bar located at 801 Seabreeze Blvd. Fort Lauderdale 33316.
