Fort Lauderdale - Saltwater Fishing Report

Oct 17th
Today we fished for a few hours with Tesil from parts unknown.
We started out trolling and caught some bonitos on our planner rods.
Than we set out some live bonitos and caught this nice barracuda.

Oct 23
This morning we fished with Amanda and Markus from Sweden and Jean from Canada.
We went right to trolling the reef with 2 planner boards running about 45 feet down along with 3 baits skipping across the surface.
While fishing was not red hot today we did manage to catch a black fin tuna some bonitos and a few kingfish. We did lose a very big kingfish right behind the boat!%#&$#
All the same we had a ball fishing today and thanks again to all of our anglers for fishing with us off the coast of South Florida aboard the Hooked Up.

Oct 29
Today we had a shared charter with Nate and Allison from Kansas City and Phil and Brain from Denver Colorado.
Once again we started out trolling with 2 planner boars and a few baits skipping across the top of the waves. And once again it was the planner boards that paid off with a Spanish mackerel and some bonitos.
Ok skunk was out of the box so now it was time to try for a big game fish.
Out went the kites with the live baits suspended from them and with a little patience BAM a sailfish popped up and the fight was on.
After a good 20 min back and forth tug a war at last up popped this 82-inch sailfish.

More Fishing Reports:

Hi my name is Taco and I run one of the best charter fishing boats down here in South Florida. WHY? Because I’ve been fishing the waters down here since 1969 and I started at the bottom and worked my way up the ladder. I know what it is like to read a web site and than once you get to boat things are not as you thought they would be. Not here I say it like it is. No surprises. I’ve got a 45 foot Hatteras with a big cock pit. Fully aircondishened and refrigerated. Big comfortable platform.
